Your files stay on your computer

PDF Unlock processes PDFs entirely on your own Windows machine. We do not upload, store, or transmit the contents of your PDFs to our servers or any third party.

What we collect

• Purchase information: when you buy a license, our payment processor (PayPal) handles billing. We receive your email, name, and a transaction ID to issue your license key.
• License activation: when you activate the Software, we receive your license key and a machine identifier so we can enforce the 2-machine limit.
• Contact form: if you email us, we keep your message and email address to respond.
• Anonymous usage: the website may log basic, anonymous analytics (page views, referrer) to improve the product. No personal data is sold.

What we don't collect

• The contents, filenames, or metadata of any PDFs you unlock.
• Your browsing history outside our site.
• Any data we don't need to deliver the Software or respond to you.

Third parties

We use PayPal for payment processing and standard web infrastructure for hosting. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We do not share your information with marketers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

PDF Unlock is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Software or website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
